PJF at GCPWMBPamela Fetterman, Principal Scientist / Managing Member

Pamela has 30-plus years of experience in environmental and ecological resource management, permitting, and water use regulations. Her career has largely focused on the fields of wetland science and hydrology.  She has amassed proven expertise in evaluation of impacts to wetland structure and function, delineation and verification of wetland and surface water boundaries jurisdictional to Florida and the United States, large scale wetland restoration and mitigation banking design and permitting, ecological restoration, natural lands management, and conservation banking.

She received her B.A. in Environmental Studies in 1992 from New College, which requires publishing and defense of a thesis in order to graduate, and her M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of South Florida in 2007.  Her New College thesis focused on bathymetric mapping and water quality analysis of a lagoon on Siesta Key experiencing eutrophication, and her Master’s thesis  analyzed and documented statistically significant wetland loss using GIS spatial analysis and aerial interpretation between 1929 and 2000 in Pinellas County, Florida.

Pamela is the founder and Principal Scientist of ecoGENESIS, LLC, which provides feasibility analysis an due diligence review, wetland delineation, environmental permitting, endangered species surveying and permitting, land management, mitigation, monitoring, ecological valuation and ecological design services to primarily the ecological restoration and mitigation banking industry,  federal, state and local governments, non-governmental organizations, agri-business and other private enterprises.


Curt at Gulf Coastal WMBCurt Schaeffer has nearly 22 years of experience in environmental and ecological resource consulting, monitoring, permitting, and research.  Mr. Schaeffer embarked on his environmental consulting career as an intern in Reed City, Michigan in 1998. He began his professional career in 2002 as a General Biologist II in Ochopee, Florida, and progressed to Project Ecologist in 2004.

Mr. Schaeffer is currently a Senior Scientist with EcoGENESIS, LLC of Sarasota, Florida and works from the Baton Rouge, Louisiana office.

Mr. Schaeffer received his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan in 1998 and his Master of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2001.  While at Michigan State, Mr. Schaeffer worked as a part-time lab technician in an invertebrate ecology lab.  During his Graduate years, Mr. Schaeffer developed a wetland ecology study involving treatment control methods for an invasive/nuisance species focused on the giant reed (Phragmites australis) in a Lake Erie coastal wetland.  Mr. Schaeffer authored a technical thesis and successfully defended his Masters’ research in a public forum, as well as presented his research at several professional symposiums.

To date, Mr. Schaeffer has gained experience in scientific research projects, wetland delineation, mitigation bank and preserve area monitoring and permitting, groundwater studies, listed species surveys, environmental permitting and policy, and terrestrial and wetland plant identification in the civil, private, and energy sectors in Louisiana, Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Washington, New York, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Nevada.  Mr. Schaeffer specializes in wetland delineation, listed species surveys, environmental monitoring, and environmental resource permitting.

In his free time, Mr. Schaeffer is an avid outdoorsman, a musician, a painter, a tinkerer, a gardener, and a builder.


amy color photoAmy Wingate delivers a broad and diverse skill set to manage ecoGENESIS’ administrative and marketing operations, overseeing and assisting in coordinating administrative and marketing tasks throughout the organization.  Amy has a stellar reputation in customer-focused service.  She has a broad knowledge of software including Microsoft Office and Adobe suites as well as a plethora of other related applications.

Amy assists our lead scientists’ and support staff in formatting and finalizing all approved project deliverables and is an integral force, competently and pleasantly managing the office while assisting multiple employees and coordinating travel itineraries among staff.  Amy is a seasoned professional who is also the minority lead business owner/broker of Regal Realty Associates, LLC bringing the depth and  wealth of her management experience as well as her vast knowledge of the real estate industry to bear on ecoGENESIS’ behalf.

Amy’s contribution as a current Florida licensed real estate broker can assist clients in locating suitable land for mitigation or restoration purposes.   She also has an Associate of Arts degree and continues to further her education in real estate and related industries.
